Job Description

Millwright Duties:

  • Responsible for operations of production machines and equipment
  • Install conveyor belts, balers, compactors, and other machine parts
  • Capable of reading blueprints and shop drawings to assemble and operate machines
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment
  • Identify and repair the breakdown of machinery
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, analyze and identify mechanical problems, report results, and perform corrective measures
  • Capable of using hand and power tools, wrenches, hoists, micrometers, squares, etc.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, machines and tools
  • Performs general maintenance on machinery
  • Identifies and troubleshoots problems associated with machine operation
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and emergency procedures
  • Test new equipment, diagnose malfunctions, and communicate with Plant Manager

Required Skills

  • Millwright (Red Seal required)
  • 2-3 years experience in the manufacturing industry
  • 2-3 years experience as a Millwright or related role
  • The ideal candidate must have strong mechanical skills
  • Ability to perform welding is considered a definite asset
  • Able to operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to forklifts and cranes
  • Previous experience working in the recycling or plastic industry a bonus

Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk

Located in Toronto, Ontario

Pay: TBD

Job Type: Full time

Expected Start Date: Immediately

Job Duties

Accounts Payable/Payroll tasks

Verify invoices and confirm approval for customer payment

Enter invoices and match working in ERP system

Accurately create and process invoices, wire payment, deposits and wire payments

Post regular journal entries

Perform account reconciliation, review customer statement and resolve issues

Responsible for file HST and GST

Liaison with finance department to ensure completion of month end and year tasks

Process and approve weekly and biweekly timesheets

Responsible for biweekly payroll  – 350 employees

Calculate overtime hours, vacation, deductions and bonus

Remit and calculate payroll deductions (income tax, EI, CPP etc.)

Prepare ROE’s Setup new employer accounts and record maintenance

Job Requirements

3-5 years of Canadian payroll experience

2 years of manufacturing experience an asset

Sound computer skills using MS Office (QuickBooks and Paymate)

Post Secondary education a definite asset

Strong communication skills (English written and verbal are a must)

Ability to work in a fast pace environment

Strong work ethnic with high standards for professionalism and confidentiality
